An idyllic luminous afternoon with fluffy clouds, promising an evening of rain.

Simple techniques of digital matte used.

Hope its pleasing to your eyes.

The rising sun can dispel the darkness of night, but it cannot banish the blackness of malice, hatred, bigotry, and selfishness from the hearts of humanity.

Nice one. Simple, yet impressive. Well done. :)

That's so cool...

What program do you use to make your picture go from the original to what it is now?
at first look its just a nice pic. Then when the eye starts going over the details...

very cool.

If you don't read, you are stupid.
this is one of my favorites of your extrateristial landscapes. I think the colors and the realism play well together. Have you tried creating alien plantlife? I think that would also make things interesting. I had read an article in discover magazine about how different stars generate different levels of light. Plants on distant planets with brighter stars would have yellow or redish plants, planets with stars that are dimmer would have black plants since black can absorb all the colors in the spectrum. However blue is so energy packed, plants would not want to be blue since it would absorb all the colors except blue.
