not that safe a planet, if there is a planet that big and that close it will soon come crashing into contact with this lovely tranquil one... looks like you got in there just in time
With a giant planet like that nearby?
With rings!?
I'm seeing violent tides, massive storms, extreme volcanism and frequent meteor impacts. Those rings can't have been there for long, I'd guess a thousand years or less, probably the remanent of another moon or maybe Kuiper type opject that wndered between the planets and was ripped apart by the tidal forces.
This doesn't look like a friendly system to me!

love this piece man! really is great. however the planet with rings doesnt look 'round' enough if you knwo wht i mean.. if u still have the planet file in photoshop (if thats how u did it) with all the layers, i suggest spearising them all 150% hopfully that will help.
apart from that little niggle and the fact that its a safe planet it really is a breathtaking piece of art. your terragen work is simply stunning and the waterfall effects are very well executed
Looks really good (and peacefull!!) Only one thing that bothers me. It seems that in the right part of the picture, the planet you are viewing from seems to end suddenly Its like the surface map ends there. Dont know if its only me that notices that but i decided to tell you that

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
